In the event that we are still in Level 2, this event will be held at Victoria Park and Band Rotunda, Corner of Percival and Queen Streets, Rangiora (weather dependent), and online at Waimakariri Libraries Facebook Live.
Waimakariri Libraries have been collaborating with the North Canterbury Cancer Society to provide writing workshops for people with cancer, and families affected by cancer. Workshop tutor, Learning Connections Coordinator Jason Clements (AKA Doc Drumheller), has grown out his beard and trademark long hair, in preparation to Chop the Mop at this fundraising event for the Cancer Society.
Featuring special guest poetry readings by John Allison, Ben Brown, Bernadette Hall, Ciaran Fox, Doc Drumheller, Mally Hines, Stephanie Waterfield, Wendy Campbell, participants from the North Canterbury Cancer Society Writers, and Orators group, and local high school students.
